All Genius All Idiot
Student ticket: 1900 HUF
A musician in sunglasses and a deer costume sets the mood for three acrobats who look and act like wolves, fighting with each other and climbing on everything. Then this “acrobatic pop concert” slowly transmutes into a queer variety show. Costumes are shed and common sense is ditched. There is a fine line between the genius and the idiot, just as between instinct and reason. But where does it run?
The performers use their professional skills (Chinese pole, rope, balancing, acrobatics) to reveal their extreme world. With live music that alternates between beauty and bizarreness, the acrobats push the envelope of contemporary circus, opening ways towards theatre and comedy. Its surrealistic and spectacular apparatus makes the end result unforgettable in every respect.
This is the company’s first production, which won the 2016 Adelaide Fringe Festival’s prizes for the best production in contemporary circus and physical theatre.
