The public could see the first Hungarian Press Photo Exhibition in 1982, at Technical University’s R-Club, and since 1983 it has been one of the most attended events of the Budapest Spring Festival. As on all previous occasions, the incidents of the past year form the subjects of the photos, though usually not sensational events but everyday occurrences.
The international jury assessed 2488 entries by 267 photographers, more than 6000 images in total. In addition to the works that have won awards in the different categories, visitors can see a selection that comprises hundreds of photos, so many impressions of our life together, from countless viewpoints.
The exhibition is on view between 17 April and 7 June.
This exhibition of the Budapest Spring Festival is jointly presented by Müpa Budapest and Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center.
