The PONT Festival presents traditions, customs, dances, and flavours from Hungary and the Balkans, treasures from UNESCO’s list of cultural heritage. From the morning, there will be interactive activities for the family, with Vilmos Gryllus welcoming spring with his songs, and folk music and fairy tales setting the mood at another concert, Tune In.
The different exhibitions and workshops at the picturesque Castle Garden Bazaar introduce visitors of all ages to the vibrant culture of the region, with a programme that includes a dance and drum workshop, film screenings, story time for children, and presentations of Balkan artisanal traditions.
The popular series in which PONT Festival presents polyphonic vocal traditions will feature this year the Albanian Iso-Polyphonic Choir. Finally, Ágnes Herczku, Szilvia Bognár, Nikola Parov, and their musician partners will celebrate the music of the Balkans with special instruments and a unique programme.
