With interactive events and unique stage productions, PONT Festival 2020 introduces the special traditions of Georgia and Armenia. Visitors can learn about the Georgian alphabet and calligraphy, a UNESCO-listed cultural heritage. The Shoghaken Folk Ensemble will introduce you to kochari, an Armenian dance, and you can discover the qvevri, the famous Georgian wine-making technique.
In the Main Hall, Márta Sebestyén, legendary singer of the dance house movement and UNESCO “Artist for Peace,” gives an Easter-themed concert. Such customary, popular activities of PONT Festival as the egg decoration, the carpet making and the children’s concerts will of course be again part of the programme.
This event of the Budapest Spring Festival is presented by Müpa Budapest as a joint program with Hangvető.
